She's the girl who managed to break through all of my defense mechanisms
and emotional barriers. Who could have thought it was possible?

She's the girl who had a way of disarming anyone she pleases.

She's the girl who could see right through me and then want to spend
time with me.

She's the girl who trusted me with her life.

She's the girl who wanted to live, but knew that she was dying.

She's the girl who cherished every moment of life she had.

She's the girl who had no family to lean on, but didn't let it get her down.

She's the girl who desperately needed help ... help that I might've been
able to provide.

She's the girl who I needed to help.

She's the girl who broke my heart.

She's the girl who died needing a new heart.

She's the girl who will never be forgotten.

Today I am reminded of the girl who I tried to help, but lost her
anyways. She wiggled her way into my life; and because of it, I'll never
be the same. Today I found the time to light a candle in her honor and
quickly realized that she would always be the guardian of my heart.
